Our Curriculum

ECO_024 - curriculum.jpgWe're impressed with our curriculum, now it's your turn! We hope to engage your child's sense of identity by capturing his/her imagination and attention. So, we put a lot of effort into providing our students with substantive lessons and a positive atmosphere.
ECO_024 - curriculum.jpgThe lessons are multi-sensory and hands-on, ensuring that the students truly experience what they are being taught. The lessons are structured with discussion-starters, to create a lively, interactive classroom experience. The information truly becomes the student's own.

Our Hebrew School uses the new, acclaimed Aleph Champ program to ensure that  your child will read fluently at the end of his/her Hebrew School experience.

Our students learn to read & write Hebrew. They gain confidence and familiarity with the Siddur-Hebrew Prayer Book.

Study of the weekly Torah portion provides our students
with practical lessons that apply to our daily lives.

Our students will attain an affection for our heritage and a
uniqueness of our homeland Israel.

The students gain an appreciation of our heritage and culture that
has been preserved throughout the ages.

Traditions and celebrations, exploring
the Jewish Holidays and Shabbat will provide a deeper
understanding for our students.

Beginning with the origins of the mitzvoth,
stressing practical applications in our daily lives, our
students will explore a personal Jewishness.

The following is a basic outline of our curriculum

divided by class.

Ages 4 & 5 (pre-K & kindergarten)

First Taste is designed to grab a child's attention with song, art, drama, and games. By exposure to the aleph-bet, Torah tales, prayer through song and holiday studies, a child gains a sense of pride and love for Judaism. Our "My Jewish Home" project is sure to imbue a student's entire life with Jewish identity.

1st Grade Class

Our first grade students learn the foundations of the Hebrew language, begin studying the Torah - portion by portion (starting from Genesis), and prepare for each Jewish hoilday. Interactive and age appropriate challenging lessons make the core values of our faith come alive.

2nd Grade Class

Our second grader program offers a more advanced Hebrew and Judaic studies curriculum. Through the "Aleph Champ" motivational system our students learn to read Hebrew. Our specialized age-appropriate Torah curriculum takes the  students through the book of Shemot/Exodus in an interactive method.

3rd - 5th Grade Class

Our 3rd-5th grade class enters the world of TorahPedia, a nationally-acclaimed curriculum that travels through essential mitzvahs and Jewish values. Additionally, our students will complete and graduate the "Aleph Champ" Hebrew reading program.

6th & 7th Grade Class

Our Jewish lifecycles course gives our 6th & 7th graders a genuine appreciation for the who, what, and why of Jewish Life and tradition. At this age Hebrew vocabulary and grammer (with the "Leshonainu book series) are further developed.
